OK THEN YOU MAY ASK YOURSELF WHY DO A FZX750?
THE STORY BEGINS 18 YEARS AGO WHEN I FIRST OWNED ONE, (1991)
THESE BIKE GO PRETTY WELL BUT THAT,S WHERE IT ENDS, THEY DON'T HANDLE.
SO THIS PROJECT IS TO MAKE IT HANDLE, THEN WE WILL TUNE IT.
SO I,VE BEEN LOOKING ON EBAY AND OTHER SITES FOR AGES, TO FIND A
REASSEMBLE ONE. THESE BIKES ARE PRETTY RARE NOW, SO TO FIND ONE IS
NOT EASY. THEN ONE COMES ON EBAY IN GOOD CONDITION AND NOT TO FARE
AWAY. SO I FOLLOW IT THE BIDDING ENDS AND NO ONE BIDDED SO I E-MAILED
THE OWNER AND A DEAL WAS DONE, I PAID £850.00 WHICH I THOUGHT WAS A
DEAL THE BIKE HAD A FULL LASER PRO STOCK STAINLESS EXHAUST IN ALMOST
NEW CONDITION.
SO I PICKED UP THE BIKE AND TO MY AMUSEMENT THE BIKE HANDLE JUST LIKE I
REMEMBERED, WHICH WAS GOOD? OTHERWISE MY PLANS TO MAKE IT HANDLE
WOULD HAVE BEEN WASTED!
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU TO ANDY WHO I BOUGHT THE BIKE OFF
AND WHAT A RIDE HOME, THE ENGINE DIDN'T MISS A BEAT. ONLY MY HEART WITH
THE HANDLING!(AND WE DIDN'T HANG ABOUT EITHER).
SO NOW THE PROJECT BEGINS
FIRST OFF WILL BE TO DYNO BIKE TO SEE POWER OUTPUT AND FRAME
ALIGNMENT.
THEN THE BACK END WILL BE FITTED WITH AN XJR1300 BACK END AND OHLINS
SHOCKS.
FRONT END POSSIBLY AN XJR1300 MODIFIED AND REVALVED ETC............

DYNO CHART:-
Well for age pretty good.
And yamaha claimed 95bhp of which dyno showed 94.8bhp
Back end in progress. Have decided to stick with stock shocks for the moment.
Front fork lower legs fabricated and welded
as original.
